The Federation
registered on 06.06.1983 currently with 93% of its share held by the
State Govt., provided shares worth Rs.383.49 lakhs and Rs.29.38 lakhs
from Milk Unions. It has a Board of Directors with Chairpersons of the Milk
Unions, Govt. nominees and others on it.
Objectives :

To provide
assured and remunerative market for the milk produced by the farmer
members.

quality milk to urban consumer.

To built
village level institution in co-operative sector to manage the dairy
activities.

To ensure
provision of milk production inputs, processing facilities and dissemination
of know how.

To facilitate
rural development by providing opportunities for self-employment at
village level, preventing migration to urban areas, introducing cash
economy and opportunities for steady income.
PHILOSOPHY
To eliminate middlemen and organise institutions to be owned and managed by the milk producers themselves.

To make a bridge between masses of rural producers and millions of urban consumers and achieve a socio-economic revolution in the hinterland of the state.
